INALJ is expecting another baby! Well, I am!

INALJ is expecting baby #2!!!

Well, my husband, Sana (who turns 50 today,) and I are!  As many of you know from my Tweeting and blogging about it, I have had 5 unexplained miscarriages in the past 6 years, and we have had one child, back in July of 2017, so we are delighted to be over 36 weeks pregnant and expecting a wee baby boy* very, very soon.  Actually this is more than a week further than I have ever been since wee Chappell was born at 35 weeks!

And this time the wee one has zero recognizable-as-a-baby-to-be ultrasound photos so I am going with one of our current fam <3

Many have asked about what we need and we really do not need too much for baby until we move abroad again (which is why I included a PayPal link below.) We never did a baby shower either time because it is easier to just buy the items we need in Budapest, and here in the US we have so many generous hand-me-downs. In general my aesthetic is second-hand goods and so we have a ton of great hand-me-downs for baby.

If you do wish to get us something on a list that you ALREADY own, instead of PayPal or new, and you have it gently used that is great too!  Just email me at naomi.house @ inalj.com in advance and let me know (especially books) – I love saving $ and will totally appreciate just as much!  Also if you find something somewhere cheaper and want to buy it let me know too, as saving $ is key!

PayPal for Baby House Khan
(funds to be used when we move back to Budapest later on)

Millet Baby Urdu books & David McKee Baby Urdu language baby books

Thanks to EVERYONE who has followed us on this journey – it isn’t over yet and I don’t take it for granted but feeling lucky at this point!  Tiny House/ Mini Khan should be here by the end of November!

* The only person who can truly tell us Baby’s gender will be Baby and we know it.  Though his assigned gender is male based on Harmony tests and visual ultrasounds, we are aware that gender is really something only the individual will be able to tell us.  I still chose to announce Sex so I will get 90% of sexist statements to me out of the way, because post-birth I may just punch someone in the throat if they say anything about boys be preferred or other sexist nonsense!

INALJ has had over 21 Million page hits and helped many, many thousands of librarians find employment! Through grassroots marketing, word of mouth and a real focus on exploring unconventional resources for job leads, INALJ grew from a subscription base of 20 friends to a website with over 500,000 visits in one month. Naomi believes that well-sourced quantity is quality in this narrow job market and INALJ reflects this with many new jobs published daily. She has also written for the 2011, 2012 and 2013 LexisNexis Government Info Pro and many other publications in the past decade. She presents whenever she can, including serving on three panels at the American Library Association's Annual Conference in Las Vegas; as breakout presenter at OCLC EMEA in Cape Town, South Africa; as a keynote speaker at the Virginia Library Association annual meeting; at the National Press Club in Washington DC; McGill University in Montreal, Canada; the University of the Emirates, Dubai, MLIS program and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Naomi was a Reference, Marketing and Acquisitions Librarian for a contractor at a federal library outside Washington, DC, and has been living and working in Budapest, Hungary and Western New York State. She spent years running her husband’s moving labor website, fixed and sold old houses and assisted her husband cooking delicious Pakistani food. She is preparing to re-enter the workforce and is job hunting. Her husband is now the co-editor of INALJ, a true support!  She has heard of spare time but hasn’t encountered it lately. She pronounces INALJ as eye-na-elle-jay.
