If you followed me on social media this weekend you’ll know I have ONE birthday wish!\u00a0 It is that the INALJ community (because we are all in this together) spreads the word about my latest community\/ project T160K.org<\/strong><\/a>!<\/p>\n

What is T160K?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A new social purpose corporation that created a crowfunding platform with an emphasis on Africa cultural, heritage and preservation projects.\u00a0 We partner with established organization across Africa to help them raise funds for their requirements.\u00a0 We are a team of crowdfunders, supporters of culture, and software developers who believe that with technology, everyone can participate in positive change. We believe culture in all its forms plays an essential role in positive social and economic outcomes and hand-pick projects where crowdfunding can have the greatest impact.<\/p>\n

What does T160K stand for?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

T160k was forged in the international effort to rescue the priceless manuscripts of Timbuktu from terrorists in 2012. Early in the evacuation, when there was little help coming from outside Timbuktu, a timely contribution from an unexpected donor enabled us to save the first 160,000 manuscripts. We named our initiative in memory of that event: T for Timbuktu, 160k for the first 160,000 manuscripts. Read more FAQs at this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n
