Naomi House, Appointed to the iSchool at UMD Inaugural MLS Advisory Board<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

\"Naomi<\/a>I am happy to finally be able to announce that I have been asked and have accepted a three year appointment to the iSchool at the University of Maryland’s Inaugural MLS Advisory Board. I am excited to serve the UMD iSchool community and look forward to learning so much from my colleagues. From the press release<\/a>, “as part of a year-long initiative with the iSchool\u2019s community, the Board\u2019s first task will be to engage in a strategic \u201cRe-envisioning the MLS\u201d discussion”. I am committed to continue to engage with current MLS\/MLIS students in many programs and to be an effective listener.<\/p>\n

I want to extend my gratitude to the committee for asking me to participate, the iSchool for continuing to be a leading program in our field and beyond, and to the professors, students, LIS professionals, INALJ volunteer staff and more who engage and educate me daily on social media (in particular Twitter), blogs and OA journals. You do more than you ever will know to shape my perspectives and for this I am grateful. I am excited for what the next year will bring.<\/p>\n
