\"cairie_r\"<\/a>Mary-Michelle:<\/strong> How did you find your current job?
\nCairie:<\/strong> On the INALJ California page<\/a>. My most current position at\u00a0Lambda Archives was from looking at the INALJ page.<\/p>\n

Mary-Michelle:<\/strong> What is your favorite book?
\nCairie:<\/strong> Of all time?! That\u2019s impossible<\/strong><\/span>. I can do top…three?? Also, I usually only read series, thus I will list\u00a0some series.<\/p>\n

  3. is a tie between Mistborn and Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Mary-Michelle:<\/strong> What websites or blogs should we be following?
    \nCairie:<\/strong> I personally love reading Patrick Rothfuss\u2019 blog,     http:\/\/blog.patrickrothfuss.com\/<\/a>. He\u2019s\u00a0silly, incredibly intelligent, and creative. Great writer AND a humanitarian. Much like. Such cool.\u00a0Otherwise, something more in the realm of my work, I peruse Museums and the Web\u2019s site (http:\/\/\u00a0www.museumsandtheweb.com\/<\/a>) from time to time. They have job postings and during the conference\u00a0people tweet LIKE CRAZY about new and upcoming tech ideas for museums.<\/p>\n

    Mary-Michelle:<\/strong> What\u2019s your favorite thing about libraries\/library technology?
    \nCairie:<\/strong> I\u2019m gonna change that to \u201carchives.\u201d I LOVE preservation work. I love the idea that I\u2019m preserving\u00a0an item to remain in our collective human heritage, particularly photographs. I work with all kinds\u00a0of histories right now and love the variety. I also really enjoy constantly learning while processing\u00a0collections.<\/p>\n

    Mary-Michelle:<\/strong> Do you have any job hunting advice for INALJ readers?\"MaryMichelleMoore\"
    \nCairie:<\/strong> It took me a year to find a promising position after I graduated with my Masters. I applied to over\u00a040 jobs. I recommend making your home page INALJ and searching every time you see it then applying\u00a0to jobs every week. Get someone who you KNOW is good at writing, to look over your cover letters\u00a0and resumes. Give them a fresh new format if you think it\u2019s been a while since that\u2019s been done. Lastly,\u00a0study up before interviews.<\/p>\n

    Mary-Michelle:<\/strong> What major challenges did you have while job hunting?
    \nCairie:<\/strong> Getting frustrated and wanting to switch careers. Seriously. I felt like no matter what I did, there\u00a0was ALWAYS someone with more experience. Then that ONE job interview went well and I was offered\u00a0the job. Woot!<\/p>\n

    Mary-Michelle:<\/strong> What is your dream job?
    \nCairie:<\/strong> Oh man, another hard one. I\u2019d love to work for the National Park Service Archive, particularly\u00a0with their photo collection. Or I would love to work at the Computer History Museum, in the Bay Area,\u00a0as an Archivist.<\/p>\n

    Cairie R. recently found her new position at Lambda Archives by using\u00a0INALJ and agreed to this interview after Mary-Michelle noticed her\u00a0thank you tweet on Twitter.
