I also wanted her superpowers. I must admit that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0393976041\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0393976041&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=i0fe1-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pride and Prejudice<\/a> is a close second.<\/p>\n<p><b>Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 Favorite thing about libraries\/ library technology?<br \/>\n<b>Liz:<\/b>\u00a0 I love that as librarians, we are immersed in a professional community that is constantly encouraging us to try new things.\u00a0 There\u2019s a strong online community where one can read about a new type of program that someone has tried at his or her library and how it went.\u00a0 This can be a great tool for someone who wants to change or add programs in their own workplace.<\/p>\n<p><b>Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 Any websites or feeds or blogs we should be following?<br \/>\n<b>Liz:<\/b>\u00a0 For those who work with young adults, Teen Librarian Toolbox (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.teenlibrariantoolbox.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.teenlibrariantoolbox.com\/<\/a>) is a great tool for reading about literature that is available to teens as well as library services.<\/p>\n<p><b>Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 Best piece of job hunting advice?<br \/>\n<b>Liz:<\/b>\u00a0 Be persistent and set realistic goals.\u00a0 Before finding my current job, I sent out over fifty applications and interviewed for at least seven other positions.\u00a0 I earned my master\u2019s degree in August and while I would have loved to find a library job right out of school, I knew it would take longer, so I set the goal of finding something by Christmas. That\u2019s almost exactly how the timing worked out once all was said and done.<\/p>\n<p><i>Liz Anderson currently works at the Oskaloosa Public Library in Oskaloosa, Iowa as a Youth Librarian.
