Library Workshops and Seminars for the United Kingdom in 2014<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

\"Suzanne<\/a>While searching for your library job, it\u2019s important to keep up to date on library events and news. Even if you\u2019re not working in a library, keeping yourself involved in the library world gives you important skills that show a potential employer that you are up to date on current trends and issues. It also gives you some opportunities to meet other librarians who may be able to give you insight on open job positions, or advice on how they found their current library job.<\/p>\n

One great way to stay involved in the library field is to attend events for library and information professionals. While searching for a library job may mean not having a lot of extra cash, many of these events are reasonably priced and offer discount rates for early registration. Some are even free!<\/p>\n

Some great sites for finding workshop and seminars are SLA\u2019s Regional Courses<\/a> and CILIP\u2019s Events Calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n
