I am definitely healthier and more rested than when I left and so thankful for the short break. For my birthday and our anniversary my husband Sana<\/a> and I went to the beautiful and historic city of Istanbul, Turkey. $\"\"$ <\/a>

\nUnfortunately (for him) I brought my cold with me and now he has it but we took every opportunity to hike the seven hills that Istanbul sits on, travel by tram and by ferry out to the islands and over to the Asia side of the city. $\"\"$ <\/a>

\nI never made it to any of the libraries but we did get to Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the Underground Cistern, the Hagia Sophia, $\"\"$ <\/a>the Hippodrome, the Princes Islands and a supermarket (one of my favorite souvenirs in any of my travels is a local ad from a supermarket). We ate plenty of doner kabobs, wished we had brought Sriracha hot sauce with us, really wished we’d brought our Delsom and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of our hotel, the Hotel Hippodrome <\/a>. We are sure to return some day. $\"\"$ <\/a><\/p>\n
