Advisory Resources<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/inalj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/amanda.may_.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-58786\" src=\"https:\/\/inalj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/amanda.may_-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"amanda.may\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>There are many free reader\u2019s advisory resources available on the Internet.\u00a0 Here are five of my favorites:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mymcpl.org\/books-movies-music\/based-book\" target=\"_blank\">Based on the Book<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 This resource is made available through the Mid-Continent Public Library.\u00a0 This page is a compilation of over 1,450 books, novels, short stories, and plays that have been made into feature films.\u00a0 All of the films in this collection were released in the United States since 1980.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mgpl.org\/read-listen-view\/fl\/flmenu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fiction_L<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 This resource is the Morton Grove Public Library\u2019s electronic mailing list on reader\u2019s advisory issues.\u00a0 Librarians can ask and answer questions related to topics such as book discussions, book talks, or collection development.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ww2.kdl.org\/libcat\/whatsnext.asp\" target=\"_blank\">What\u2019s Next: Books in Series<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 This resource is made available through the Kent District Library and helps you search series fiction.\u00a0 It is great to use when patrons are looking for the next book in a series but are unfamiliar with the specific title.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mymcpl.org\/books-movies-music\/juvenile-series\/\" target=\"_blank\">Juvenile Series and Sequels<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 This database is made available through the Mid-Continent Public Library.\u00a0 It includes over 36,000 books in 4,900 series titles.\u00a0 Each series is classified into one of three groups: Juvenile Easy, Juvenile, or Young Adult.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bookspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bookspot<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 This website has a multitude of resources for librarians, such as bestseller lists, book reviews, and book news.\u00a0 Website sections include \u201cWhat to Read&#8221;, &#8220;Genre Corner&#8221;, &#8220;Where to Buy&#8221;, and &#8220;Behind the Books.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>previously titled:
