Constructing a Job Posting Infographic<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"laurenbourdages\"<\/a>One of the many LIS industry blogs that I follow is the Hiring Librarians<\/a> blog. A common complaint of Hiring Librarians\u2019 readers is that not every job posting comes with a salary range. That concern, along with the INALJ desire for more postings with closing dates, and my own concern about the huge inconsistency in job postings, and my understanding of the elements of a quality job posting inspired me to create an infographic on job postings. I thought at first I might write an article, but then it occurred to me that a better way to get my point across would be with a poster that contained case studies of career pages and a sample of what I feel is a good strong job posting. Hiring managers complain when they don\u2019t get a strong pool of applicants, well one of the keys to finding a pool of strong applicants is to have a well constructed job posting to showcase your opening!<\/strong> So I hope that hiring managers see this and find something useful to help them craft their future postings; and I hope that all of my fellow LIS job seekers might get something out of this as well!<\/p>\n
