Librarian.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It means so much to those of us with our MLS\/MLIS, etc. It was the job I wanted and the reason I went to Library School. But there are so many other jobs we can do as librarians that use our skills set. I have created a list of key terms and job titles you can find in the right sidebar for job hunters. Records management is something we can do. Intelligence analyst is a job we can do.<\/p>\n

So ask yourself, do I want a job or do I want a job with a specific title?<\/p>\n

I am proud to be a librarian but I know that this term (which I hold dear) if not a reflection of all I can do. Perception is important, especially when others are doing the hiring, so ask yourself- do I want to be a librarian or do I want a job that will use my skill set?<\/p>\n
