{"id":33479,"date":"2013-07-29T10:30:31","date_gmt":"2013-07-29T14:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inalj.com\/?p=33479"},"modified":"2013-07-29T11:08:26","modified_gmt":"2013-07-29T15:08:26","slug":"best-regional-job-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/inalj.com\/?p=33479","title":{"rendered":"Best Regional Job sites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>by Alexis Stapp, Head Editor, <a title=\"INALJ Minnesota\" href=\"https:\/\/inalj.com\/?page_id=5699\" target=\"_blank\">INALJ Minnesota<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Best Regional Job sites<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/inalj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/alexisstapp.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-26467\" alt=\"alexisstapp\" src=\"https:\/\/inalj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/alexisstapp-300x200.jpg\" width=\"180\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a>As a seasoned job hunter, you probably have some key websites you check daily for jobs, and\/or subscribe to RSS feeds and are on various listservs.\u00a0 INALJ is one of them, obviously!, but the <a href=\"http:\/\/joblist.ala.org\/index.cfm\">ALA JobList<\/a> makes the cut, too, I\u2019m sure.\u00a0 Perhaps the <a href=\"http:\/\/careercenter.sla.org\/jobs\" target=\"_blank\">SLA Career Center<\/a> is on there, or the <a href=\"http:\/\/careers.archivists.org\/jobs\">SAA Online Career Center<\/a>, or the <a href=\"http:\/\/careers.aallnet.org\/jobs\">AALL Career Center<\/a>, depending on your goals and experience.\u00a0 These are the biggies, the heavy-hitters in the library job world, and are all excellent resources.<\/p>\n<p>When I was embarking on my job search, I made sure to follow all these, whether via RSS feeds, Twitter, or daily check-ins to their websites.\u00a0 I also made a list of about 30 other RSS feeds, listservs, etc., all of which I did buy going through all the INALJ state pages one by one and culling from the resources listed.\u00a0 Of course, I was open to relocation so that gave me a lot to work with.\u00a0 I realize that\u2019s not the case for everyone so I\u2019m sharing some of the best regional resources for job listings:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.metrolibraries.net\/res\/jobline.html\">Mountain Plains Library Association<\/a> \u2013 MPLA covers 12 states so there are a lot of jobs posted here!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnla.org\/jobs\">Pacific Northwest Library Association<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.libraryjobline.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Library Jobline<\/a> \u2013 focused on Colorado but posts jobs in other Southwestern states and their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libraryjobline.org\/rss\/?feed=2529\" target=\"_blank\">RSS<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.georgialibraries.org\/jobs\/index.php\">Jobs in Libraries<\/a> (GA &amp;
