\"emilys\"<\/a>Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 How did you find your current job?
\nEmily:<\/b>\u00a0 I found my current job through my volunteer supervisor at the Two Harbors Public Library. She got an email about the position and forwarded it to me.<\/p>\n

Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 Favorite library you have been to?
\nEmily:<\/b>\u00a0 So far my favorite library is the Reading Room at the Museum of English Rural Life at the University of Reading. I was able to use books from the 16th<\/sup> and 17th<\/sup> centuries for a research paper.<\/p>\n

Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 Favorite book?
\nEmily:<\/b>\u00a0 I have way too many favorite books. A lot of books have made an impact on my life. One of my favorite books is The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. He created an entire world and history for his characters which amazes me. I also just read Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth. If you enjoy the Hunger Games I recommend this trilogy. Sadly the third book doesn\u2019t come out for a few months.<\/p>\n

Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 Favorite thing about libraries\/ library technology?
\nEmily:<\/b>\u00a0 My favorite thing about libraries is that even though our materials are constantly changing and the technologies we use are advancing we continue to work at bringing information and resources to our patrons.<\/p>\n

Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 Any websites or feeds or blogs we should be following?
\nEmily:<\/b>\u00a0 I don\u2019t really keep track of any websites or blogs regularly. I have a slight addiction to Pinterest and I\u2019m also trying to keep track of the books I\u2019m reading using Goodreads but I tend to get behind on that. I also enjoy watching TED talks.<\/p>\n

Naomi:<\/b>\u00a0 Best piece of job hunting advice?
\nEmily:<\/b>\u00a0 My best piece of job hunting advice is to not give up. Continue to search for your dream job but be open to a job that might help you get there. Not everyone can get their dream job on their first try but that doesn\u2019t mean it isn\u2019t out there.<\/p>\n

My name is Emily Savageau. I spent most of my childhood in Duluth, Minnesota. I received my B.A. in History from Randolph-Macon Woman\u2019s College in Lynchburg, Virginia. I also spent my junior year studying at the University of Reading in Reading, England. I received my MLIS from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I have spent the past year volunteering at the Two Harbors Public Library in Two Harbors, Minnesota.
