3 Great Podcasts for Library News<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"marymichelle1\"<\/a>As much as we love our blogs and social media, sometimes it\u2019s better to have something to listen to on the commute or at the gym to help meet our \u201cI learned something today\u201d requirement.\u00a0 Here\u2019s a list of three great podcasts to listen to when you want to stay abreast of library news.\u00a0 I\u2019ve provided the links to each show\u2019s webpage or they are available for download in the iTunes store.<\/p>\n

\"circulating<\/a><\/p>\n

Circulating Ideas is an interview podcast hosted by Steve Thomas.\u00a0 He regularly interviews interesting people in the library world, including people running for ALA positions, the annual list of Movers & Shakers and authors.\u00a0 In addition to his wonderful podcast, the show notes provided at www.circulatingideas.com<\/a> provide summaries of the show and details on where to find out about the interviewees on social media.<\/p>\n

\"nerdylibrarians<\/a>Nerdy Librarians<\/a> is a husband and wife team that covers different aspects of librarianship.\u00a0\u00a0 The Perrys cover everything from comic books (their most recent podcast) to social media in the library, to gaming in the library.\u00a0 This lighthearted podcast usually runs on the shorter side (30-45 minutes) and is a good introduction to library podcasts if you aren\u2019t sure where to start.\u00a0 Their show notes and shows can be downloaded at: http:\/\/www.nerdylibrarians.com\/wordpress1\/<\/a><\/p>\n
