Chappell was born! Early, but healthy \ud83d\ude42<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a>What a few weeks it has been!\u00a0 Only 13 days after announcing <\/a><\/strong>that INALJ \/ I was expecting a baby, my water broke.\u00a0 At 34 weeks!\u00a0 I was rushed to the hospital and transferred to a bigger hospital nearby.\u00a0 I was told the Doctors wanted to hold out until at least week 36 and then induce me, but baby House\/Khan was sending distress signals so, very early in the morning on July 25th, they started me on Pitocin.\u00a0 Seven hours and one epidural later baby Chappell Ullah Khan<\/strong> entered the world!!!<\/p>\n

He had a rough start and spent 6 days in the NICU.\u00a0 I was released after 2 days and was able to stay close due to the generosity of the Ronald McDonald House.\u00a0 I spent 12 hours a day with baby and though we got little sleep that bonding helped a ton.\u00a0 This is my first child after going through 5 miscarriages in 4 years so it is extra special!<\/p>\n

\nYou may have noticed that I really only missed one day last week, the day Chappell was born, for the INALJ library jobs<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 I love my work and those who sponsor jobs made it possible for me to be with my preemie and still help LIS job hunters.\u00a0 Your donations and jobs made that possible and my gratitude is with you!\u00a0 Some have asked if there is any way to help – we don’t need much as far as stuff goes, but money helps infinitely, for that we are fortunate but we have PayPal and a few registries for anyone interested.\u00a0 Every penny helps with a new preemie in the house \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
