Blog Love: Library Hat

I wanted to quickly share with you a blog I recently found, Library Hat, that has some great information for library job hunters.

The author, Bohyun Kim, will be one of the presenters on January 10, 2013 for the American Libraries webinar Landing Your Ideal Library Job.

Even if you can’t make the webinar you MUST READ Bohyun’s blog posting “Common Misconceptions about Library Job Search: What I have learned from the other side of the table” if you are on the job hunt!  Great insights.  Great strategies.  Great all-around advice.

Definitely a Must Read!

I started INALJ on October 16, 2010 because I wanted an organized way to share the jobs I found with other library job hunters. I had found my job as a reference librarian half way through my Master's program on a local listserv. After I was hired I still was receiving jobs and wanted to share them. In May 2011 I graduated with MLIS from Rutgers University and now work for a government contractor in the DC metro area. In addition to all of my work on INALJ I enjoy running my husband Sana’s moving labor business, Khan Moving! Wishing everyone all good luck and fingers crossed in their job hunt!
