Naomi House’s interview with success story Justin.
Naomi: How did you find your current job?
Justin: Well, I was looking around to see what was out there and I just stumbled upon The Public Library of Chattanooga, TN. I had always admired the work that Corrine Hill (Director) and Nate Hill (Assistant Director) had done in the past so I was really excited when I was offered the opportunity to join the team that they were building.
Naomi: Favorite library you have been to?
Justin: Besides the Chattanooga Public Library? Well, I’m a bit partial to the Northland Public Library in Pittsburgh, PA. That was my library growing up and I just have great memories of being in that building.
Naomi: Favorite book?
Justin: The Beatles Recording Sessions by Mark Lewisohn
Naomi: Favorite thing about libraries/ library technology?
Justin: No matter where I’m working, I love chatting with the community that visits the library. They are always very happy to be in our building and excited about the services we offer.
Naomi: Any websites or feeds or blogs we should be following?
Justin: I’ve always been so inspired by Michael Stephens at Tame The Web (note: I do contribute to this site). His message is just so powerful and positive: Encourage The Heart.
Naomi: Best piece of job hunting advice?
Justin: Be positive. Always think about how you can best serve the community.
